Project Igor

The igor system is a modular beach life-guide station designed to be highly customizable, interchangeable, and sustainable. Like frankenstein’s monster - igor, the unit consists of different modules, that can be switched out for different locations, needs, climate, work styles, and aesthetic preferences; or be replaced when damaged, reducing maintenance costs and environmental impacts.

The igor system was designed to replace the existing life-guard posts on beaches all across hong kong, and solve issues such as long-traveling times and uncomfortable work environments. By placing the system closer to shore, redesigning access methods, and improving the working environment - the igor system brings higher efficiency and quality of life to life guards at the beach.
